Transit Station was opened in 2003, as a general Hobby Store, patterned after a store you would have found in the 1960’
s. Our customers usually state that there’s a little bit of everything to be found in here. We just simply state Transit
Station is :

Our roots originate from the Hamburg Model Railroad Station Hobby store. In 1999 we bought that store
as it was facing extinction, and operated it for 5 years, while we mapped out the future for Transit Station. The Hamburg
Store was closed in early 2004, so we could dedicate all of our attention to the Transit store. Here we offer most of the
same favorites from Hamburg, but have increased the variety and types of hobby items we carry.
You
will find Remote Controlled Airplanes, Boats, Trucks and Cars, Slot Cars, Model, as well as Trains by Lionel, MTH and others.
Our large open showroom features many interactive items you will enjoy such as Rokenbok, an R/C Construction Vehicle Table;
a 1/32 nd scale Slot Car Track; and of course a large O Scale Train Layout. Our younger patrons love the Thomas the Tank Engine
and Jay Jay the Jet play tables. Enjoy shopping while the kids are entertained behind the glass walls playing!
Isles of nicely displayed merchandise on easy to reach shelving, in a well lit atmosphere make for fun as you browse
